インドにおける、ヒンディ語の有力な新聞であるDainik Bhaskar紙に、2月19日朝に掲載された、僕の今回の訪問に関する記事が掲載されています。

ヒンディ語なので、とりあえず、英語に翻訳したものと日本語に翻訳したものを全文掲載します。

日本のローカル新聞でも、辞書引き講演会をするとかなり精密な記事を書いてくださいましたが、インドのヒンディ語の新聞は、本当にしっかり取材して書いてくださっています。

Vocabulary is a pillar of learning a Language and ‘Jishobiki’ a unique way of learning vocabulary- Prof. Keisuke Fukaya

ボキャブラリーは言語学習の柱であり、”Jishobiki “はユニークなボキャブラリー学習法です。

Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Sr. Sec. Public School, Dhanora-Ladwa hosted an international guest lecture of Prof. Keisuke Fukaya, a professor from Chubu University Japan in its campus. Prof. Fukaya was accorded with ceremonial welcome by the school management, principal, vice-principal, teachers and students. Principal Dherminder Khera formally welcomed and introduced Prof. Fukaya to the students. He said that Prof. Fukaya is working on the project of “Jishobiki” in many countries including Singapore, Japan, China, Thailand and England, and in India our school is the maiden one to introduce “Jishobiki” to its students. Prof. Fukaya conducted workshops, interaction sessions and interviews for four days from 16th Feb to 19th Feb with the students. More than 300 students of classes 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th attended the workshop enthusiastically.

Public School, Dhanora-Ladwaは、中部大学の深谷圭助教授をお招きし、国際ゲスト・レクチャーを開催しました。 深谷教授は、学校経営陣、校長、副校長、教師、生徒たちから儀式的な歓迎を受けた。 Dherminder Khera校長は、深谷教授を正式に歓迎し、生徒に紹介した。 深谷教授は、シンガポール、日本、中国、タイ、イギリスなど多くの国々で「辞書引き学習」プロジェクトに取り組んでおり、インドでは本校が「辞書引き学習」を生徒に紹介する最初の学校であると述べた。 深谷教授は、2月16日から19日までの4日間、ワークショップ、交流会、面接を実施。 ワークショップには5、6、7、8クラスの300人以上の生徒が熱心に参加した。

Prof. Fukaya introduced a “Jishobiki” “Lexplore” a unique and innovative method of learning vocabulary, to the students. He asked the students to choose a word randomly from any page of the dictionary, write it with meaning on sticky notes and paste it on the same page of the dictionary. He distributed the sticky notes to students and asked them to choose and write as many words as they could. The students promptly wrote the words with their meaning on the sticky notes and pasted them on the pages. The students enjoyed this unique practice and were excited on learning vocabulary through this novel method. Emphasizing the importance of vocabulary Prof. Fukaya said that the vocabulary is the pillar of learning a language to communicate efficiently and “Jishobiki” is the tool which could help them in learning vocabulary.

深谷教授は、ユニークで画期的な語彙学習法である “辞書引き”「レクスプローラー」を学生たちに紹介した。 辞書の任意のページからランダムに単語を選び、付箋に意味とともに書き、辞書の同じページに貼り付ける。 生徒たちに付箋を配り、できるだけ多くの単語を選んで書くように求めた。 生徒たちは早速、付箋に意味とともに単語を書き、ページに貼り付けた。 生徒たちはこのユニークな練習を楽しみ、この斬新な方法で語彙を学ぶことに興奮していた。 深谷教授は、語彙の重要性を強調し、語彙は効率的なコミュニケーションのための言語学習の柱であり、「自習力」は語彙学習に役立つツールであると述べた。

Prof. Fukaya participated in special morning assembly organised by the students and addressed the students emphasizing on the importance of such workshops Prof. Keisuke Fukaya said that both Japan & India have rich cultures and a good education system, so these types of workshops provide a platform to the students of both the countries to know about the rich cultures, advanced education systems and teaching learning pedagogies. He along with Principal Dherminder Khera, Vice-principal Narender Sharma felicitated the students who got gold medals in Science and English Olympiads.

深谷教授は、生徒が企画した特別朝礼に参加し、このようなワークショップの重要性を強調した。 深谷教授は、日本とインドはともに豊かな文化と優れた教育システムを有しており、このようなワークショップは、両国の生徒に豊かな文化、先進的な教育システム、学習教育法について知る場を提供するものであると述べた。 また、Dherminder Khera校長、Narender Sharma副校長とともに、科学オリンピックと英語オリンピックで金メダルを獲得した生徒たちに祝辞を述べた。

School President Pawan Garg, Secretary Ravinder Bansal, Principal Dherminder Khera along with Dr. Kushal Pal-Principal IGN College gave away a memento to Prof. Keisuke Fukaya and thanked him. President Pawan Garg hoped that the workshops conducted by Prof. Fukaya would bring qualitative change in the learning of language English in the students. He said that hosting an international guest in our school gives an exposure to the students and enhances their confidence and instil curiosity among the students.

Secretary Ravinder Bansal expressed his gratitude towards Prof. Fukaya and said that student’s exposure to international educators’ education system and learning practices would prove beneficial for the students. It would widen their mental horizon and would facilitate learning among the students. He further said that the feedback he received from the teachers and students about “Jishobiki” “Lexplore” is really thrilling. He hoped that the students would continue it through out the year and would make a solid word bank.

ラビンダー・バンサル事務局長は、深谷教授に感謝の意を表し、国際的な教育者の教育システムや学習方法に触れることは、学生にとって有益であると述べた。 それは生徒の精神的視野を広げ、生徒の学習を促進するだろう。 深谷氏はさらに、「地引網」「レクスプローラー」について先生や生徒から受けた感想は実にスリリングだと述べた。 生徒たちが年間を通してこの活動を続け、しっかりとした単語バンクを作ってくれることを願っている。

Shreya a student of class 8th expressed her gratitude on the behalf of the student’s community towards Prof. Fukaya, school management and principal for providing them such an opportunity to learn vocabulary through applying unique method of “Jishobiki” “Lexplore”.

8年生のシュレヤさんは、深谷教授、学校経営陣、校長先生に対し、「辞書引き学習」というユニークな方法を用いて語彙を学ぶ機会を与えてくださったことに、生徒のコミュニティを代表して感謝の意を表した。

2月18日火曜日、インド最古の大学の一つパンジャーブ大学での僕とダルミンダ・ケラ校長との講演会の様子です。その様子が地元の新聞に掲載されました。パンジャーブ大学ジェス先生にはお世話になりました。

デジタル・プラットフォームから本の世界へ-Dherminder Khera氏と深谷圭助教授によるユニークな取り組み

深谷圭助教授の4日間のツアーは、パンジャブ大学チャンディーガル校の教育学部を訪問し、教育学部通信教育課のジース・ジャスカンワール・シン助教授のもとで、教員や学生と経験を分かち合い、幕を閉じた。 深谷教授は、ダノラ・ラドワにあるサンジャイ・ガンディー・メモリアル・Sr.Sec.Public SchoolのDherminder Khera校長と同行した。 深谷教授は、日米両国の文化について意見を交わした。 また、若い学習者の語彙力を高めるユニークな方法である「レクスプロア」である「ジショビキ」の経験についても紹介した。 Lexploreは、Lexicon（語彙）とExplore（探検）という2つの単語から取った造語です。 Lexiconはある言語の語彙のことで、Exploreは探求するという意味です。 また、英国、中国、シンガポール、タイ、インドなど、さまざまな国の学校でレクスプロアーを教えた経験についても語った。

パンジャブ大学の教員と学生たちは「ジショビキ」に強い関心を示した。 学生からのフィードバックは圧倒的で、大学の教員はこの「Lexplore」をキャンパスで応用することに熱心であった。
Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh助教授は、深谷圭助教授とDherminder Khera校長（Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Sr. Sec. Public School, Ladwa）の努力を高く評価し、このようなユニークな取り組みを推進してくれた中部大学に感謝の意を表した。 また、この地域の他の学校もサンジャイ・ガンディー・メモリアル・パブリック・スクールを見習い、生徒たちに “Jishobiki “を導入すべきだと訴えた。

Dherminder Khera氏は、フィンランドとスウェーデンは、生徒の創造性と学習能力を高めるために、デジタルプラットフォームの過剰な露出から子供たちを救うために、彼らの学校で本を実装していると述べた。 「辞書や教科書は生徒の好奇心を刺激する重要なツールである。
深谷教授は日本への帰路、ムガール帝国の象徴であるインドの歴史的建造物レッドフォート・オブ・デリーを訪れ、深谷教授を魅了した。

From Digital Platforms to the world of Books-A unique effort by Dherminder Khera and Prof. Keisuke Fukaya

Four-day tour of Prof. Keisuke Fukaya concluded with his visit to the Education Department of Punjab University Chandigarh where he had shared his experiences with the faculty and students under Assistant Prof. Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh, Education Department Distance Learning. He was accompanied with Dherminder Khera- Principal, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Sr. Sec. Public School, Dhanora-Ladwa. Prof. Fukaya shared his views on the cultures of both the countries and Japan. He also shared his experiences of “Jishobiki” that is “Lexplore” a unique way of enhancing the vocabulary of young learners. He said “Lexplore is a coined word which has been taken from two words Lexicon and Explore. Lexicon refers to vocabulary of a language and explore means to search. He also informed about his experience of teaching Lexplore in the schools of different countries including England, China, Singapore, Thailand and in India.

The faculty and the students of Punjab University shown a keen interest in “Jishobiki”. The feedback of the students was overwhelming and the faculty of the university was keen in applying this “Lexplore” in their campus. Assistant Prof. Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh appreciated the efforts of Prof. Keisuke Fukaya and Dherminder Khera, Principal Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Sr. Sec. Public School, Ladwa and expressed his gratitude towards Chubu University for promoting such a unique initiative. He appealed the other schools of the region should inspire from Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Public School and introduce “Jishobiki” to their students as well.

Dherminder Khera while addressing the students said that Finland and Swedan have implemented the books in their schools to save their children from the overexposure of digital platforms to enhance the creativity and learning ability of their students. “Jishobiki” can be a vital tool in channelizing the student’s curiosity in the dictionaries and text books. Prof. Fukaya visited historical monument RedFort of India in Delhi a symbol of Mughal Reign during his return journey to Japan which seemed fascinated to Prof. Fukaya.
